A message from the Chair of Governors

cc watermarkI am pleased to report that after a rigorous and challenging process to recruit a new headteacher for Conisborough College, the school appointed Mr Stuart Mundy. As expected there was a great deal of interest in the position and there was an extremely strong field of candidates to select from.

Mr Mundy comes to Conisborough College with an excellent track record of success having made a really positive impact at his current school, Stationers' Crown Woods Academy, where he is the Associate Principal.

All candidates invited for the interviews commented positively on the welcome they received from our staff and students. I was particularly impressed by the role our student council played in the process. They asked really challenging questions and made sure that the very best candidate was appointed. Mr Mundy will officially take up his post after the Easter break and will have the opportunity to familiarise himself with the school over the course of the next term. He has already been introduced to the staff and was able to accompany me to our winter concert at the end of last term which was fantastic. Mr Mundy is very excited about leading the school and is looking forward to 2016 being a very successful year for Conisborough College.
