Zambia Tour 2017

In July 2017 three Key Stage 4 students went to Zambia with the Tag Rugby Development Trust as part of a team of volunteers to teach Tag Rugby & run an exciting inter school festival. Whilst there they were involved with numerous schools and hundreds of children with the aim of improving lives and giving them a fantastic & exciting experience. The work also involved working with local teachers, rugby coaches & volunteers to ensure that the work of the charity is sustainable in the area & country.

Students also worked on a community project where they helped build additional classrooms to a local school building. As students from an inner London School, this was a life changing opportunity!

Wow what a night!!

On the evening of Thursday 11 May, I had the great humbling privilege to listen to nineteen of the finest and most passionate Year 10 speakers in Lewisham.  Speeches full of passion, laughter, knowledge and emotion, bringing the audience close to tears and displaying a talent on an incomparable level to most public speakers.
