Shakespeare Schools Festival 2011
Tuesday 1 November was another big night for the work of William Shakespeare, as Conisborough College once again took part in the Shakespeare Schools Festival.
This year, drama students from Conisborough College performed a version of Romeo and Juliet at Lewisham’s Broadway Theatre.
This 21st century version of the Shakespeare play was set in a modern day war. The audience was bigger than it has ever been, with all four schools taking part, well represented. As always we looked at a modern interpretation of the play, with characters dressed in army outfits, with scary white and camouflage war stripe make up.
