Whole School Attendance
Improving attendance is a key whole school priority at conisborough College. The school places a strong emphasis upon excellent attendance and punctuality.
All staff have a role to play in ensuring attendance has a significant profile. A senior member of staff leads the whole school attendance drive. Form tutors, subject teachers, school leaders and support staff all work closely with students and their families / carers to ensure patterns of excellent attendance are the norm.
Roles and responsibilities are clearly defined in our robust attendance policy. The school has developed a range of rewards that recognise excellent attendance patterns. These are popular with the students and include an annual trip to Thorpe Park for the 100 'Best Attendees'.
The school has improved whole school attendance over each of the last three years:
- 2006 / 2007 - 88.12%
- 2007 / 2008 - 90.38%
- 2008 / 2009 - 91.61%
- 2009 / 2010 - 92.40%
The school has an interesting programme to enrich the experience of gifted and talented students.
