During Summer term, our Year 10 students completed two weeks of Work Experience in a wide variety of roles. Students had the opportunity to engage with employers and colleagues in a professional setting. As well as given responsibilities in the daily running of the business.
Many students secured roles that were in line with their career aspirations or areas of interest. Some placements included pharmacies, primary schools, Bromley Magistrates Court, Financial Conduct Authority, Solicitors, Housing Associations and many more.
“We have noticed a positive change in our students, where they have become more mature and focused on doing well in school. Their engagement with employers is essential in preparing our young people for the world of work, which will translate into how they approach the rest of their time in school. I have been extremely proud of the way each individual student conducted themselves and proved to themselves that they have the credentials and qualities to be successful in any field of work they choose.”
Mr Rowe – Head of Year 10
I really enjoyed the experience of learning new things that will be useful in the future, such as using emails, booking meetings and general office admin. I also got to see how different teams work together to run a successful project.
