This term, Conisborough College has had the pleasure of welcoming some inspirational guests to speak with our young people about their journeys from humble beginnings, through hardship to success, with an overarching message that hard work pays off.
We kicked off our sessions with a visit from London-based fashion stylist Irene Agbontaen who spoke with Year 10 girls about the dedication that has gone into creating her clothing brand TTYA, offering accessible fashion to taller women.
Year 10 were in awe of Irene’s achievements and her famous connections.
Our second guest was Anthony Powell who spoke with boys from a mixture of Year groups about how easy it is to fall into the wrong life living in an inner city community and wanted to inspire change in our young people and break that cycle through hard work.
Our final guest is a regular visitor to Conisborough College and it is always a pleasure to welcome Comedian; White Yardie, who spoke with Year 9 and 10 boys about his early struggles in life and his determination to work hard for success.
A huge thank you to Mr Edie in the Inclusions department who arranged these inspiration talks for our students.
