Re-marking of GCSE written exams and requesting the return of exam scripts
Each examination board has an individual fee tariff.
To process post results requests, there is a £15 administration fee payable to the school in addition to charges for the individual units and scripts as set by the exam boards. Payments must be received as a bank transfer to the school before any requests can be processed by the Schools Exams Officer.
Re-Marking
The re-marking of an exam script is an EAR2 Request; your son/daughter must complete an ‘Enquiries about Results‘ form with their name, candidate number, subject name and unit codes completed. Please refer to your statement of results to confirm these details.
For GCSE Maths there are 3 individual units, for most other subjects there are 2 units. It is not possible for you to request a re-mark for coursework or controlled assessments for individual students.
If a review of marking results in an increase in marks, the exam board will reimburse their fees.
Return of Script
To request a copy of an exam script, your son/daughter must complete an ‘Access to Scripts‘ form, which must be returned to the school prior to any processing.
