Homework is set on a regular basis on MyMaths website, where students have their own personal login and can track their progress.
In all Year groups students will experience investigative and problem-solving exercises, as well as developing mental maths and number skills. Practical equipment and calculators are used regularly in all year groups, so it is important that students have their own mathematical equipment. Homework will be checked regularly and throughout this time, students could be re-grouped according to their test results and general progress.
A good knowledge of maths demonstrates logical thinking skills which are desirable in any career.
Maths specific career paths include Aviation, Computer Programming, Engineering, Economics, Financial Analysis, Physics, Research (in many fields of expertise) and of course Teaching.

The statistics course comprises of the following key skills;
Studying Statistics encourages problem-solving and complements the GCSE Mathematics curriculum. GCSE Statistics emphasises the theoretical, practical and applied nature of Mathematics. It is engaging and enriching, enhances key disciplines and supports progression through statistics and other related disciplines.
